Julie Ann Ausbrook is an art educator and practicing visual artist based in Chicago, Illinois. She has taught middle school, high school, and college learners in both traditional and online settings. Julie designs studio experiences that balance strong foundational skills with student voice, reflection, and creative risk-taking, helping students build confidence as they develop their artistic practice.

 

In addition to teaching, Julie works as a freelance artist, multimedia designer, and illustrator, creating paintings, drawings, and commissioned work for private residences and commercial spaces. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions in the Chicago area. A former colleague described Julie as “one of the most capable, dynamic, and intelligent colleagues and scholars” they have known and worked with.
